Yusuf Buhari, son of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Yusuf Buhari secured the APC ticket after polling 5,849 votes in the party’s House of Representatives primary election held on Saturday.
He defeated his rival, Auwal Lawal Daura, who garnered 21 votes in the exercise.
With the victory, Yusuf Buhari becomes the APC flagbearer for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency in Katsina State for the 2027 polls.
Nova News reports that the APC House of Representatives primary elections are currently taking place across the country on Saturday as the ruling party concludes the process of selecting candidates for the forthcoming general elections.
