The Lagos State Police Command has dismissed reports claiming that access to the Lagos State House of Assembly has been restricted. In a statement released on Monday, Command spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin clarified that while security measures have been strengthened around the assembly complex, journalists and individuals with legitimate business are allowed entry.
According to Hundeyin, the state Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, ordered the deployment of security personnel and operational resources to the assembly complex to maintain order and prevent potential disturbances. This move aims to prevent miscreants and thugs from causing mayhem.
Hundeyin emphasized that the security measures were taken to prevent any potential disruption within the Assembly and its surroundings. The Lagos State Police Command reassures the public that there is no restriction of movement into the Lagos State House of Assembly.
