Lawyer and activist Dele Farotimi has been released from the Correctional Centre in Ekiti, according to Omoyele Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters. Farotimi’s release was confirmed on Tuesday morning after he perfected his bail conditions.

Farotimi is now on his way to his home in Lagos, where he will spend Christmas and the New Year with his loved ones. Sowore shared the news on his social media handle, expressing his pleasure at Farotimi’s release and wishing everyone happy holidays.
