President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai on the occasion of his 65th birthday, lauding his dedication to public service and democracy.

Reflecting on El-Rufai’s extensive career, President Tinubu highlighted his contributions as the former governor of Kaduna State, a position he held for eight years. “His tenure as governor demonstrated his dedication to development and good governance,” Tinubu said. He also noted El-Rufai’s previous roles as Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from 2003 to 2007, calling them “pivotal moments in his career.”
President Tinubu expressed gratitude for El-Rufai’s significant role in the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC), of which he is a founding member. “Mallam El-Rufai’s contributions to the dialogue that led to the APC’s creation and the party’s victories in 2015, 2019, and 2023 elections were instrumental,” Tinubu acknowledged.
