Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has declared his support for his Osun State counterpart, Ademola Adeleke, in the upcoming political battle. Makinde stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not win in Oyo and Osun states.
Makinde’s statement was in response to APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje’s claim that the party would win in Oyo and Osun states after recording victories in Edo and Ondo polls. Makinde described Ganduje’s declaration as coming from a man distracted from reality.
The Oyo Governor commended Adeleke for completing the Stadium Roundabout/Oke Baale Roundabout/Ilesa Garage Roundabout dual carriageway project, which was initiated by Rauf Aregbesola. Makinde praised Adeleke for not abandoning the project despite belonging to a different political party.
Adeleke also advised against reckless driving and violating safety protocols while using roads in the state. He directed security agencies and road safety authorities to enforce safety codes on the newly completed roads.
