In a decisive step towards enhancing transparency and efficiency in Edo State’s public service sector, Governor Monday Okpebholo has announced the immediate dissolution of the Local Government Service Commission.
This strategic move is part of the Governor’s broader reform agenda aimed at streamlining government operations and boosting the overall performance of public institutions across the state.
Governor Okpebholo assured citizens, public stakeholders, and staff of the Commission that ongoing official activities would remain unaffected by the dissolution. He emphasized his administration’s commitment to collaborating with relevant stakeholders to design a robust restructuring plan for the Commission, ensuring enhanced effectiveness and accountability.
“This decision is essential to revitalizing the Local Government Service Commission and positioning it for efficient service delivery,” the Governor stated. “We are determined to eliminate inefficiencies and establish a more transparent and accountable local service framework that truly serves the people of Edo State.”
