Brazilian footballer Hulk is reportedly set to marry Camila Angelo, the niece of his ex-wife, in a religious wedding ceremony in December. The two had already tied the knot in a civil ceremony back in 2020, following Hulk’s split from his previous wife, Iran Angelo.
Hulk, who currently plays for Atletico Mineiro, had been married to Iran for 12 years, during which they had three children: sons Ian and Thiago, and daughter Alice. These children are now cousins to Hulk’s new wife, Camila.
The relationship between Hulk and Camila was first revealed in December 2019, shortly after Hulk’s marriage with Iran ended in July of that year.
This raised eyebrows, given the couple’s familial connection. Despite the public scrutiny, Hulk confirmed his relationship with Camila in a transparent manner, stating that he wanted to avoid false rumors. In December 2019, he openly told his family about his relationship with Camila, including his three children.
A spokesman for Hulk commented on the matter at the time: “Hulk called the parents and the brother of Camila and told them the truth. It was Hulk himself who made the information public because he had nothing to hide. His position is transparency and he wants to avoid lies and malicious comments.”
In 2021, Hulk and Camila announced they were expecting their first child, Zaya, followed by news of their second child, Aisha, in 2022. Reports indicate that the upcoming religious wedding ceremony will take place on the beach in Paraiba, though the exact date has yet to be confirmed.
Hulk’s relationship with Camila has attracted attention due to their family ties, but the footballer has consistently emphasized his commitment to openness, both within his family and to the public.
