Edo Refinery, owned by AIPCC Energy, is set to expand its operations with an 80,000 barrels per day refinery expansion in Koko, a border town between Edo and Delta States ¹. Following the successful completion of the crude distillation assessment by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), the refinery is poised to begin exporting its first cargo by May 2025.

*Regulatory Approval*

The NMDPRA had earlier issued an operational license to Edo Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited, marking the final stage of approval for the plant to operate as a refinery ¹ ². The regulatory authority’s CEO, Ahmed Farouk, presented the certificate to AIPCC Energy, the parent company of Edo Refinery.

This expansion and export plan signify a significant milestone for Edo Refinery, reinforcing its commitment to contributing to Nigeria’s energy sector.
