The Federal Government announced on Friday that the Dangote Refinery will begin supplying petrol on Sunday, following a successful agreement on pricing and supply terms.
According to the agreement, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) will serve as the sole off-taker of petrol from the refinery, with other marketers purchasing the product from NNPC.
This development is expected to boost Nigeria’s petroleum production and reduce reliance on imports. The Dangote Refinery, with a capacity to produce 650,000 barrels per day, is poised to significantly impact the country’s energy landscape.
The Federal Government and Dangote Refinery’s partnership aims to ensure stable petrol supply and enhance Nigeria’s economic growth.
