BREAKING: President Tinubu Approves N70,000 Minimum Wage for Nigerian Workers, Announces Three-Year Review

In a significant development, President Bola Tinubu has announced the approval of a new minimum wage of N70,000 for Nigerian workers. This decision was made during a meeting with leaders of organized labor at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.

According to the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, the President has also pledged to review the national minimum wage law every three years. This move according to the presidency, is step towards improving the welfare of Nigerian workers.

The meeting was attended by Comrade Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and Comrade Festus Usifo, President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), among other union members. Prior to the meeting, labor leaders had been advocating for a minimum wage of N250,000.
