The Benue State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project says it will strengthen it’s collaboration with the Federal Fire Service in ensuring safety of the Project operations and assets across the country.
State Project Coordinator, Benue RAAMP stated this when the Zonal Controller in charge of Zone A of the Federal Fire Service, Mr. Iribom Kuritsi paid him a courtesy familiarization visit at Project office in Makurdi on Tuesday, 30th April,2024.
Mr. Numbeve commended the Fire Service for supporting Benue RAAMP Office through personnel and equipment deployment as well as advisory services on Safety.
He noted that RAAMP is working to construct markets and agro processing and storage facilities in rural areas of the state to stimulate agricultural trade. Safety, he added was an integral part of all project activities and therefore a core area of partnership with relevant agencies such as the Fire Service to avert losses occasioned by lack of adherence safety guidelines.
Earlier, the Zonal Controller Mr Iribom Kuritsi said he was with the State Coordinator to strengthen existing partnership between the service and the RAAMP office. He solicited the support and cooperation of the Benue State Government and it’s agencies to overcome the challenges faced by the Service in the State. The Zonal Controller lauded the support of the state coordinator towards the Federal Fire Service and called for sustained collaboration as the project rollout commences.
He also emphasized the need for the people of Benue State to observe safety measures at all times to safeguard lives and properties.
