Swedish club AIK have stopped Zadok Yohanna from linking up with the Super Eagles for the Unity Cup tournament in London, Hobnob News reports.
Zadok was among the several new players invited to the national team by head coach Éric Chelle for the international friendly competition.
The squad list for the tournament was unveiled on Wednesday as Chelle continues preparations to assess new talents ahead of future assignments for the Super Eagles.
The decision by AIK to withhold the player is expected to deny the youngster the opportunity of making his first appearance for Nigeria at the senior international level.
The Unity Cup tournament in London is expected to feature a number of African and Caribbean national teams in a series of friendly matches aimed at promoting unity and sporting excellence.
