A Nigerian youth, Adaa Moses, has strongly rejected claims linking his employment opportunities to former Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs, Benjamin Aber Tersee (Rtd), describing the publication as a case of “mistaken identity and deliberate misrepresentation.”
In a statement made available on Thursday, Moses expressed displeasure over the inclusion of his name among alleged beneficiaries of appointments into Federal Government agencies reportedly facilitated by ACG Benjamin Aber Tersee.
He accused individuals identified as Aondogu Martin Luba and Mfater Alfred Igirgi Jnr of unlawfully circulating the publication for what he described as a “cheap political calculation” aimed at securing unmerited favour for their principal.
Moses stated that he had never met the retired Customs officer and therefore could not be presented as one of his beneficiaries.
“I find it unusual and deeply displeasing that my name was unlawfully published among the beneficiaries of appointments into Federal Government agencies allegedly facilitated by ACG Benjamin Abeer Tersee (Rtd),” he said.
According to him, the publication falsely portrayed him as a beneficiary of a politician he had no connection with, even during his period of hardship.
He maintained that his personal growth and opportunities were made possible through the support and leadership of the member representing Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency, Dickson Tarkighir, whom he described as a visionary leader committed to human development and empowerment.
Moses insisted that the recognition for his achievements should not be attributed to “desperate politicians through false publications.”
“This is clearly a case of mistaken identity and deliberate misrepresentation, which I strongly reject,” he added.
