
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State has produced 11 candidates, including Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, to contest the forthcoming House of Representatives election.
Nova News reports that six of the candidates are seeking re-election, while Amaewhule and four others will be contesting for the Green Chamber for the first time under the APC platform.
According to the list released, former lawmaker Solomon Bob emerged as the party’s candidate for Abua-Odual/Ahoada East Federal Constituency, while Victor Obuzor clinched the ticket for Ahoada West/Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Federal Constituency.
For Akuku-Toru/Asari-Toru Federal Constituency, the APC picked Isobo Jack, while Frederick Apiafi secured the ticket for Andoni/Opobo-Nkoro Federal Constituency.
The party also selected Cyril Hart for Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency and Felix Nwaeke for Eleme/Tai/Oyigbo Federal Constituency.
In Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency, Dum Deekor emerged as the party’s flagbearer, while Amaewhule secured the APC ticket for Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency.
For Okrika/Ogu-Bolo Federal Constituency, the party picked Linda Stewart, while Chigeru Amadi and Igwe Precious emerged candidates for Port Harcourt II and Port Harcourt I federal constituencies respectively.
