Hobnob news reports that the peace meeting was convened at the instance of President , with Governor Alia formally inviting Akume for the dialogue.
The meeting, held at the Banquet Hall of the , brought together a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including political leaders, traditional rulers, and clerics from across the state.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the meeting, Governor Alia revealed that a key resolution reached was a collective commitment by party stakeholders to work towards his return to office in the 2027 governorship election.
He further disclosed that all members of the elected under the APC platform from Benue State are expected to secure re-election in the next general elections.
The reconciliation is seen as a significant step toward restoring unity within the party in the state ahead of future political contests.
