Former Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, on Saturday said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing his best to manage the country’s affairs.
Gowon made the comment after meeting with the president at the Presidential Villa, where he commended Tinubu’s performance in office.
The former military leader said he was satisfied with the president’s leadership across several key areas, including politics, the economy, social development, and efforts to address insecurity.
According to him, the administration is working hard to tackle Nigeria’s major challenges, particularly security issues affecting different parts of the country.
Responding to questions about areas where the president should improve, Gowon maintained that the government is already making efforts to address the nation’s pressing concerns.
He explained that his visit to the Presidential Villa was mainly to appreciate the president and acknowledge what he described as progress under the current administration.
Gowon added that the meeting also provided an opportunity to review the work being done by the government and the progress Nigeria is making economically and in other sectors.
