Dangote Petroleum Refinery has once again raised the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), marking the third increase within a week.

The refinery announced the latest adjustment to fuel marketers on Monday, raising the gantry price of petrol to N1,175 per litre, up from N995 per litre announced on Friday.

The new price represents an increase of N180, or about 18.1 per cent, within just three days.

In the same review, the refinery also increased the gantry price of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) to N1,620 per litre.

Earlier reports indicated that the refinery had recently raised the PMS price to N995 per litre from N874 per litre over the weekend, a move that has pushed petrol pump prices to over N1,000 per litre across Nigeria.
