The Kaduna State Government has announced plans to refund individuals who purchased houses and landed properties within Queen Amina College, Alhuda-huda College, and Government Commercial College during the tenure of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
In a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. AbdulKadir Mu’azu Meyere, the government confirmed that payment of refunds will commence on Monday, 7th July 2025. This move follows the revocation of all such sales by Governor Uba Sani in the interest of preserving educational infrastructure.
Meyere recalled that in an earlier statement on 22nd April 2025, the government had promised to initiate the refund process as directed by the governor. Beneficiaries are advised to collect their cheques at the Secretariat of the Sale of Non-Essential Government Houses, located at Hassan Usman Katsina House, Kawo.
To receive payment, recipients must present the following documents: proof of payment, valid identification (such as a voter’s card or National ID), bank details including a BVN slip, a recent bank statement, and two passport photographs.
The statement reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a safe and conducive learning environment across schools as part of its broader agenda to enhance Human Capital Development.
