Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate, Lagos, Frederick Nwajagu Acquitted of Terrorism Charges

A Lagos State High Court has discharged and acquitted Frederick Nwajagu, Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate, Lagos, of all terrorism charges filed against him. Nwajagu was incarcerated in Ikoyi Prison since 2023 for allegedly threatening to invite IPOB members to Lagos to protect Igbo lives and property.

Although acquitted of terrorism charges, Nwajagu was convicted and sentenced to 12 months imprisonment for parading himself as a certified chief in Lagos State. His legal team has vowed to appeal this conviction, citing that the prosecution failed to prove the offence.

Nwajagu’s acquittal has been hailed as a victory for the Igbo people, particularly those in Lagos State who have faced persecution and dehumanization due to their tribal affiliation.
