The Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has been plunged into deep mourning after the untimely death of his younger sister, Atsi Kefas. Atsi succumbed to injuries sustained during a tragic incident involving an accidental gunshot by a police escort in Abuja.
The unfortunate event occurred along the Wukari-Kente road in Taraba State’s Wukari Local Government Area, where her vehicle came under attack by gunmen. According to family sources, a police escort responding to the ambush inadvertently discharged a firearm, striking Atsi in the stomach. After battling for her life, she passed away days later in Abuja.
“It’s heartbreaking that we lost her. This is a devastating blow to the family,” a close family member shared with reporters.
