Celine Dion Slams Donald Trump for Using ‘My Heart Will Go On’ at Rally Without Permission

Celine Dion has taken a swipe at Donald Trump for using her iconic song “My Heart Will Go On” at an election rally in Montana without her permission. The song, which was featured in the 1997 film “Titanic,” was played at the rally on Friday, accompanied by a video of Dion’s performance on a big screen.

Dion’s management team and record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada, released a statement condemning the use of the song and video, stating it was “in no way” authorized. The statement also added, “Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use… And really, THAT song?”

Social media users have drawn parallels between Trump’s campaign and the sinking ship in the James Cameron film, with many mocking the former president’s use of the song. Trump’s campaign has faced challenges since Kamala Harris replaced President Joe Biden in the US election race.

“My Heart Will Go On” is one of Dion’s most famous songs, selling 18 million copies and earning her numerous awards, including an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and several Grammys.
