In a significant move towards progress, Governor Alia of Benue state has instructed his cabinet members to focus on revitalizing various sectors of the state’s economy. With the aim of positioning Benue state alongside industrialized regions, the governor has called for the full functionality of all sectors and the revival of dormant ones.
To kickstart this endeavor, Honorable Addingi Alex, the adviser to the governor on international investment, led a team of interested investors to inspect dormant factories located at the Benue state industrial layout on Naka road. The purpose of these inspections is to explore potential investment opportunities that could bring these factories back to life.
Earlier in the day, the same team visited a yam flour processing plant in Katsina Ala as part of their investigation into reviving various industries of the state. The team was accompanied by staff from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, demonstrating a collaborative effort to achieve the governor’s revitalization goals.
With this clear directive from Governor Alia, there is optimism among citizens that the once stagnant economic sectors will be rejuvenated, leading to improved livelihoods and increased economic growth. The emphasis on attracting investors and bringing back closed factories showcases the government’s commitment to stimulating economic development in Benue state. As progress continues, it remains to be seen how this mandate will positively impact the state’s economy in the long run.
