Popular musician and founder of Marlian Music, Azeez Fashola more known as Naira Marley has been detained by the Nigerian Police after he submitted himself for questioning.
The ‘Soapy’ croner has in the last few weeks been fingered in the demise of his former signee, Mohbad who died under controversial circumstances.
After the death of Mohbad, videos surfaced on the internet alleging bullying and victimisation by boys suspected to be from Marlian music.
Naira Marley denied involvement in the death of Mohbad in an interview with former presidential aide, Reno Omokri.
The Lagos police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a tweet said Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation.
He wrote:
“Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken u
into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities”.
