Mr. Terver Akase has stated that former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, cleared all outstanding salaries owed to workers in the state before leaving office.
Akase made the statement during an appearance on Arise TV, where he defended the financial records of the immediate past administration in Benue State.
According to him, Ortom ensured that salaries and entitlements of workers were fully paid before handing over power at the end of his tenure as governor.
Akase maintained that claims suggesting that the former administration left unpaid salaries were inaccurate, insisting that the Ortom-led government settled salary obligations before exiting office.
The remarks come amid ongoing discussions surrounding the financial situation in Benue State and the handling of workers’ welfare by previous administrations.
