Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, has said he prefers taking action rather than engaging in excessive public talk, stressing that his leadership style is rooted in practical results.
Alia made the remarks on Tuesday while delivering a political message in his hometown in Vandeikya Local Government Area.
Speaking in a video lasting about 20 minutes and 25 seconds, the governor stated that he is not known for talking too much but for acting decisively.
According to him, he “does not talk much” and instead prefers to “act using his shoulders,” a phrase he used to describe his action-oriented approach to governance and leadership.
During the address, the governor also cautioned individuals allegedly receiving benefits to work against the interests of the people of Vandeikya ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Although Alia did not mention any specific individuals or political figures in the speech, his comments come amid increasing political alignments and grassroots mobilization across Benue State as discussions surrounding the next electoral cycle continue to gather momentum.
The governor’s remarks have since sparked reactions online, with supporters and critics offering varying interpretations of the message and its political implications ahead of 2027.
