President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has declared that Akwa Ibom will deliver the highest number of votes in the South-South region for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2027 general election.
Akpabio made the statement during a political gathering held in Akwa Ibom State on Tuesday, where stakeholders and supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, gathered to reaffirm their commitment to the party ahead of the next election cycle.
According to the Senate President, residents of the state are already experiencing the impact of Tinubu’s administration and would reward the president with overwhelming support at the polls.
“We will deliver the highest votes for President Bola Tinubu in the entire South-South come 2027,” Akpabio stated during the gathering.
He also urged members of the APC to remain united and committed to strengthening the party’s structure in Akwa Ibom and across the South-South region.
Akpabio’s remarks have since generated reactions on social media as political discussions surrounding the 2027 presidential election continue to gain momentum across the country.
Reacting to the statement, a social media user identified as @EketVoice wrote, “Nigerians will decide with their votes when the time comes.”
