Popular Nigerian streamer, Peller, has opened up about ongoing financial tensions within his family, revealing that his mother has advised him to stop giving money to his father.
Peller made the disclosure during a livestream while reacting to the ongoing family controversy involving content creator GehGeh.
Hobnob News reports that GehGeh recently came under fire after his younger sister accused him on social media of abandoning his siblings despite his wealth. Responding to the allegations, GehGeh stated that although he is the first in his family to attain financial success, he does not yet have the kind of wealth required to lift his entire family out of poverty.
“I never get the kind of money wey fit raise family from poverty,” he said, adding that he fears becoming poor if he continues to shoulder excessive responsibility. He maintained that “I can only do my best and not my all,” while urging his siblings to seek employment.
Reacting to the situation, Peller said he could relate to GehGeh’s predicament, expressing concern that his own family issues could escalate publicly. He revealed that his father had previously threatened to call him out, despite the financial support he has consistently provided.
“You see the way all GehGeh family are dragging him online, my own go worse. And it might be my daddy because they have threatened me with it before. And I have given these people a lot,” he said.
The streamer further disclosed that his mother has repeatedly warned him against continuing to give money to his father, despite his sense of obligation.
“My mummy was even telling me to stop. My mummy no won make I dey give my daddy anything, but I keep giving him money because he paid for my school fees while growing up,” Peller explained.
He recounted instances of what he described as persistent financial demands from his father, including a request for more money shortly after gifting him a car.
“My daddy still asked me for money the very day that I gave him a car. I gave him the money, and he still called me the following day to ask for more money,” he added.
Peller also highlighted the extent of his financial support to his mother, claiming to have opened several shops for her.
“If I tell you guys how many shops I have opened for my mummy, you go run,” he said.
Hobnob News recalls that in an earlier interview with media personality Frank Edoho, Peller spoke about the impact of his parents’ separation on his upbringing, attributing some of his academic struggles to their divorce.
The controversy has reignited conversations online about family expectations, financial responsibility, and the pressures faced by young wealthy individuals in supporting extended family members.
