*2027: GROUP RALLIES BEHIND OBI-KWANKWASO TICKET, REJECTS RETURN OF ‘TINUBU ERA’
*
The OK-A New Nigeria Group has called for a new direction in 2027, urging Nigerians to reject both President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid and a comeback by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
“No reasonable Nigerian can wish Tinubu on Nigeria again for another four years,” said the group’s convener, Hon. Chibuisi Mba. “But again, another version of Tinubu cloaked in the fake clothing of a democrat must not be allowed to preside over the affairs of our nation.”
Mba dismissed Atiku as “not the person to rescue Nigeria,” citing his eight years as vice president. “Why did Atiku not rescue Nigeria then? Why now, when he has been out of government for just a few years? These people are not fighting for Nigeria, but for themselves.”
Instead, the group is pushing what it calls “proven men for a new Nigeria” — a Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso joint ticket. The pairing is branded “fiscal discipline + delivery at scale” under the slogan: _For Our Children, For Our Country: 2027 Must Be Different._
“Prudence meets purpose. Youthful energy meets seasoned execution. Obi kept Anambra’s books clean. Kwankwaso turned Kano into a classroom. Together, they’ve lived accountability and innovation,” the statement read.
“Nigeria, we’ve prayed long enough. 2027 cannot be another argument about who to blame. It has to be our first real conversation about what to build.”
“Peter Obi brings the spreadsheet and the spine. Rabiu Kwankwaso brings the blueprint and the bridge. One man kept Anambra’s books clean. The other turned Kano into a classroom. Competence and character must sit at the same table.”
“We’re done with politics as war. 2027 is about what we build. The momentum is already building across Nigeria 🇳🇬. Nigeria Will Be OK ✅”
The group urged supporters to use the ADC online registration platform to make their voices heard and to text ‘YES’ to 07037233448 to join the mobilization.
