At least seven people have reportedly been killed and several others abducted following a deadly attack by suspected terrorists on Ariko community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The ആക്രമ occurred during Easter celebrations, as gunmen stormed the community and specifically targeted two Christian worship centres, throwing the area into chaos and fear.

Eyewitness accounts revealed that the attackers struck while worshippers were gathered for Easter activities, opening fire indiscriminately and causing multiple casualties. The assault disrupted religious observances, forcing residents to flee for safety.

Local sources confirmed that, in addition to the fatalities, several individuals were kidnapped and taken to unknown locations, raising fresh concerns about insecurity in the region.

Security operatives are yet to issue an official statement on the incident, but efforts are reportedly underway to track down the perpetrators and rescue the abducted victims.

The attack has sparked outrage among residents and community leaders, who condemned the targeting of worship centres during a sacred Christian period. Many have called on the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to protect vulnerable communities, especially during major religious events.

This latest violence adds to the growing list of security challenges in parts of northern Nigeria, where communities continue to face threats from armed groups.
