The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the temporary suspension of its recruitment application portal as part of efforts to optimise the efficiency and functionality of the system.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Board disclosed that the portal — https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — will be temporarily inaccessible until Monday, July 21st, 2025, when it will reopen for continued application submissions.
According to the Secretary to the Board, Maj Gen AM Jibril (rtd), the move is aimed at enhancing the portal’s capacity to accommodate the high volume of applications, thereby ensuring a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process.
“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies,” the statement read. “The temporary suspension is necessary to guarantee a seamless and credible recruitment experience for all applicants.”
The CDCFIB oversees recruitment into key paramilitary services including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
