Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating he remains loyal to the party regardless of any coalition talks.
Speaking at the Southwest PDP caucus meeting in Ibadan, Makinde underscored the party’s focus on unity and resilience, dismissing coalition speculations. He questioned the credibility of those championing such efforts and commended regional leaders, including Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The caucus resolved to intensify strategies for PDP victories in forthcoming bye-elections in Oyo and Ogun States, as well as local government polls in Lagos State.
The meeting also raised concerns over Nigeria’s deepening insecurity and economic challenges under the APC-led government, stressing PDP’s resolve to rescue the nation from what it described as APC’s failed leadership.
