Security Agencies Recover Stolen Vehicle of UN Staffer Kidnapped in Jos North, Plateau State

Security agencies have successfully recovered a stolen vehicle belonging to a United Nations (UN) staffer who was kidnapped by gunmen in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

According to Hobnob News, the victim, 45-year-old Emmanuel Yusuf Sabo, was abducted around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31. Sabo was returning home from work along Godwin Street in the State Low-Cost area of Jos North when unknown armed men seized him.

Sabo, who works at the UN Office in Jos, was reportedly taken by the assailants, raising alarm among his family and local security agencies.

His younger brother, Ezekiel Sabo of Angwan Rukuba, reported the incident to the police at about 7:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. Following the report, the Police Command Control Room swiftly alerted patrol teams and security posts across the state to locate the victim and the kidnappers.

In the early hours of Monday, at approximately 3:40 a.m., police operatives intercepted and recovered the stolen vehicle in Manguna, Bokkos Local Government Area. The suspected kidnappers abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.

Authorities continue to intensify efforts to rescue Emmanuel Yusuf Sabo and bring the kidnappers to justice. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
