Abuja — Former Governor of Abia State and serving Senator, Theodore Orji, has firmly denied recent allegations linking him to fraudulent dealings involving Effdee Nigeria Limited. In a strongly worded statement released by his liaison office, Senator Orji condemned the publication as a calculated attempt to tarnish his reputation.
Describing the report as “baseless” and “malicious,” Orji asserted that the allegations lacked factual foundation and were clearly aimed at misleading the public. He criticized the authors of the story for poor investigative journalism and failing to conduct proper fact-checking before publication.
A notable factual error pointed out in the statement was the claim that Senator Orji served as Governor in 2016 and 2017, even though his tenure concluded in May 2015. The statement also refuted any ties between the senator and individuals named in the report — Mr. Uchenna Erondu and Mr. Austin Akuma — clarifying that neither of them played any role during his time in office.
Senator Orji is demanding an immediate and comprehensive retraction of the story across all media platforms where it appeared, including major national newspapers and online publications.
