The honourable member representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency (Sankera), Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo, has called for sincerity by the people of Sankera over the selection process of the next Tor Sankera.
The federal legislator noted that due to the pivotal role of Tor Sankera to the lives, good order, prosperity, and security of the intermediate area, it was incumbent upon all the kingmakers to set aside their personal interests and immediate gratification, to ensure that a satisfactory and transparent process is applied as prescribed by law and tradition in selecting the next Tor Sankera II.
He further charged the kingmakers to ensure that in carrying out this all-important task, they should pay attention to details and adherence to due process of law and tradition and come up with a choice of a natural leader, who has both outstanding qualities and the overall interest of Sankera at heart. He noted that, it is very important especially at this point in time to move Sankera forward by ensuring the right people occupy the right positions.
He also appealed to Sankera people to have confidence in the kingmakers as they also understand the critical situation in Sankera and will not do anything to further worsen the bad situation.
Hon. Wombo also cautioned those who may be tempted to distort and influence the outcome of the selection process through monetary inducement to change tack. This kind of mischievous individuals he assured, would not succeed at their diabolical arrangement because Sankera kingmakers are composed of leaders of honour and integrity.
Finally, Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo cautioned against those spreading falsehood and casting aspersions against the selection process on social media and different fora, specifically people who have nothing to lose but to create a chaotic atmosphere in the hope that mistakes will be made. The honourable member further notes that at this critical time, all hands need to be on deck, and that people of goodwill continue to pray to God to anoint the next Tor Sankera II of His desire for our people who will have widespread acceptance.
