Kano LG Chairman Approves Appointment of 60 Aides

Yusuf Imam, popularly known as ‘Ogan Boye’ and the Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Area in Kano State, has approved the appointment of 60 aides to serve in various capacities. This move is part of Imam’s efforts to promote and develop the local government area.

The approval was detailed in a letter dated January 6, 2024, and signed by the Local Government Secretary, Ado Muhammed Hotoro. The letter stated that the appointments were made based on “merit, dedication, honesty, and commitment,” aligning with the chairman’s vision for effective governance.

Among the appointees are 18 special reporters tasked with overseeing departments, markets, and primary healthcare centers within the LGA. Other positions include Executive Assistant, Tribe; Chief Details Affairs I and II; Chief Protocol Officer; Principal Personnel Secretary; and eight Director-Generals.

The Nasarawa Local Government Area is one of the 44 LGAs in Kano State, with a projected population of about 980,000 people, making it the most populated LGA in the state.
