A section of a Samsung building under construction on Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, near Banex Junction, Abuja, partially collapsed during casting on Tuesday.
Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Department (FEMD) Acting Director-General, Mr. Abdulrahman Mohammed, confirmed the incident. He reported that the penthouse segment of the three-story structure gave way, leaving four of the ten workers on-site with minor injuries. The injured were promptly treated at Wuse General Hospital, and fortunately, no lives were lost.
Mohammed urged developers to strictly adhere to building codes and safety protocols, emphasizing the importance of preventing such accidents. He also encouraged residents to report emergencies using the toll-free 112 hotline.
