Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has assured residents that contractors working on the failed portion of Obadan Junction road along the Benin-Ekpoma Expressway are working hard to complete the road before Christmas.
During his third inspection of the ongoing road project since his inauguration on November 12, 2024, Governor Okpebholo expressed his satisfaction with the contractors’ round-the-clock efforts. He emphasized that completing the road before Christmas is crucial, as it will enable motorists to enjoy traveling during the festive period.
The Governor also highlighted that his administration has fully keyed into the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aiming to ensure that Edo people enjoy the full dividends of democracy. Additionally, he plans to appeal to President Tinubu for a refund of the money spent on the project after its completion.
Governor Okpebholo noted that the road is a vital gateway between the South, East, and Northern parts of Nigeria, making it essential to get it fixed for the people. With the contractors working diligently, residents can look forward to a completed Ekpoma-Benin road before Christmas.
