The Labour Party’s National Convention has dissolved the Abure-led administration and established a Caretaker Committee. Chaired by Mrs. Nnenadi Usman and led by Senator Darlington Nwokeocha as Secretar.
The committee is expected to organize a National Convention in due course.
The NEC reaffirmed its support for Peter Obi as the party’s National Leader.
A motion to withdraw all court cases instituted by party members was seconded by Senator Kelvin Chukwu, representing Enugu East senatorial zone.
The NEC/Expanded stakeholders’ meeting is ongoing at the Government House in Umuahia.
In attendance are Peter Obi, LP’s 2023 presidential candidate; Alex Otti, Governor of Abia State; LP senators, House of Reps members, House of Assembly members, and other stakeholders.
