The National Council of State has unanimously endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s leadership with a vote of confidence, praising his efforts to address Nigeria’s pressing challenges and stabilize the nation.
The meeting, held at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, was presided over by President Tinubu, marking his first Council of State gathering since assuming office. Notable attendees included former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari.
Other attendees included former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, and Yakubu Gowon, who joined virtually. However, Olusegun Obasanjo, who ruled the country from 1999 to 2007, was absent.
Several governors also joined the meeting virtually, including Alex Otti of Abia State, Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, and Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa states. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, was in attendance physically.
This vote of confidence underscores the council’s support for President Tinubu’s leadership and his efforts to address the nation’s challenges.
