EFCC Arrests Three Siblings for Suspected Internet Fraud in Makurdi

 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Makurdi Zonal Command apprehended three siblings on Friday, May 17, 2024, suspected of engaging in internet fraud ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵.

The arrest took place at New Garage, Wadata in Makurdi.

The suspects, identified as Abubakar Sadiq Adejoh, Mohammed Habib Adejoh, and Solomon Adejoh, are alleged to have specialized in diverting customers’ funds from their accounts to a Point of Sale (POS) terminal for withdrawal.

During the operation, law enforcement officers recovered various items from the suspects, including:

– A car
– Six mobile phones
– One laptop
– A sum of cash totaling N3,562,750.00 (Three Million Five Hundred and Sixty-Two Thousand, Seven Hundred and Fifty Naira) only.

Following their arrest, the suspects will undergo further investigation, and once concluded, they will be formally charged to court.
