The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Shehu Gabam has criticized the previous government of Muhammadu Buhari for failing to address Nigeria’s challenges, alleging that it left a struggling economy for President Bola Tinubu to inherit.
Despite Buhari’s successor, Tinubu, being from the same party (APC), Gabam claims that Tinubu inherited a dire economic situation.
“I have said several times that Buhari’s government is the worst that Nigeria has ever had. It is the consequence that President Bola Tinubu is suffering from because he knew he inherited an economy that has collapsed,” Gabam stated on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday.
The recent removal of fuel subsidies and naira floatation have led to a significant increase in the cost of living, leaving many Nigerians groaning.
