The Lamidi Apapa Faction of the Labour Party LP has formally submitted their candidates for the Edo Governorship Election to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In the letter written to INEC, the faction named Barrister Anderson Uwadiae Asemota as its Gubernatorial Candidate with Barrister Monday Ojore Mawah chosen as his running mate.
In contrast, the Julius Abure faction announced yesterday that Olumide Akpata, the former president of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), emerged as the victor in its gubernatorial primaries.
This sets the stage for an intriguing electoral contest with distinct factions presenting their respective candidates for the upcoming election in Edo.
