Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva, has resigned from office in compliance with the Electoral Act to contest the governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State.
A top federal official privy to the development confirmed on Thursday night.
However,Hobnob News gathered that Sylva’s resignation is allegedly being deliberately kept from the public by powerful elements in the presidential villa so he can return to office as Minister should he fail to clinch the ticket of his party, the APC.
