ICE Arrests Nigerian Man in Los Angeles Over Alleged Fraud, Identity Theft

 

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, popularly known as ICE, has announced the arrest of a 49-year-old Nigerian national identified as Etinosa Osahon in Los Angeles.

 

According to a statement released by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement through its official X account, Osahon was arrested on May 21 and is currently in custody pending removal proceedings.

 

The agency disclosed that the Nigerian national has a criminal record involving multiple offences, including stealing and possession of stolen mail, bank fraud, and aggravated identity theft.

 

The statement partly read: “ICE Los Angeles arrested Etinosa Osahon, 49, of Nigeria, May 21.

 

“Osahon’s criminal record includes stealing and being in possession of stolen mail, bank fraud, and aggravated identity theft. He is in ICE custody pending removal.”

 

Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding his arrest or the timeline for his removal proceedings.
