Former Ekiti State Governor, has alleged that the Oyo State Government led by Governor is plotting to remove the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja.
According to Hobnob news reports, Fayose raised the alarm on Sunday, claiming that the alleged move to remove the monarch would begin this week. However, both the Oyo State Government and the Olubadan reportedly dismissed the allegation, describing it as a baseless rumour.
Despite the denial, Fayose reiterated his claim in a post on his official X handle on Tuesday, urging sceptics to wait and observe unfolding events.
“Those who are still in doubt about Governor Seyi Makinde’s plot to remove the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja, should just keep their fingers crossed and follow unfolding events,” he said.
Strengthening his position, Fayose further alleged that after denying any such plot, the state government has now shifted focus to accusing the Olubadan of “plotting to impeach Governor Makinde.” He also claimed that officials were releasing statements portraying the monarch as partisan, insisting these developments support his earlier warning.
As of the time of filing this report, the Oyo State Government has maintained its position that the allegations are unfounded.
