Three members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegation from Kebbi State have lost their lives in a tragic road accident while travelling to attend the party’s just-concluded national convention in Abuja.
The deceased were identified as Hadiza Sabo Warrah, a councillor representing Warrah Ward; Sahabi Alheri, councillor representing Birnin Yauri Ward in Ngaski Local Government Area; and Abubakar Sadiq, who served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Kebbi State Governor on social media.
According to sources, the fatal crash occurred along their journey to the Federal Capital Territory, cutting short the lives of the party faithful who were part of the state’s official delegation to the high-profile political gathering.
The incident has thrown the Kebbi State chapter of the APC into mourning, with party members and supporters expressing shock and grief over the sudden loss. The victims were described as dedicated grassroots mobilisers and loyal party members who contributed significantly to the party’s activities in their respective constituencies.
Party officials in the state are yet to release a comprehensive statement on the circumstances surrounding the accident, but tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues, political associates, and well-wishers.
The APC national convention, which drew delegates from across the country, has now been overshadowed by the unfortunate incident, as the party reflects on the loss of three of its members.
