Runway Scare at LaGuardia as Two Delta Jets Collide

A tense moment unfolded at New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Wednesday night after two planes operated by Endeavor Air, a Delta subsidiary, collided on the runway.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey confirmed that the incident occurred at 9:58 p.m. when one aircraft was landing and another was preparing for takeoff.

One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. Delta later clarified that the injured individual was a flight attendant.

Images circulating in U.S. media showed visible damage to the nose of one aircraft, though Hobnob News could not independently verify the photos.

Despite the collision, LaGuardia—one of America’s busiest airports—remained fully operational, with no major disruption to flight schedules.

Delta Airlines, parent company of Endeavor Air, described the incident as a “low-speed collision during taxi” and said it was cooperating with authorities to review safety procedures.

Preliminary findings suggest the wing of a departing aircraft bound for Roanoke, Virginia, struck the fuselage of an arriving jet.

The two planes carried a combined 93 passengers and crew members, all of whom were safely evacuated.
