The Federal Government has announced the reopening of its recruitment portal for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service, and Nigerian Correctional Service.
This follows a brief suspension by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) due to technical difficulties experienced on the portal during the initial application phase.
In an official statement released on Monday, July 21, 2025, the Board explained that the pause was necessary to upgrade the portal infrastructure in response to a massive surge in applications.
“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the temporary shutdown. The system enhancement was crucial to ensuring a seamless, transparent, and equitable recruitment process,” the Board stated.

Applicants Advised to Resume Application
Candidates who previously began their application before the suspension are encouraged to log back in and complete the process. CDCFIB also assured applicants that issues relating to unlisted Local Government Areas (LGAs) are being addressed.
“We are aware that some applicants could not proceed due to missing LGA options. We’re actively working to include all affected LGAs to ensure no eligible applicant is left behind,” the statement noted.
