Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ali Dalori, has called on members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and party stakeholders to remain united in the aftermath of the resignation of the former chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
Speaking in Abuja, Dalori appealed for calm and discipline within the party, warning that the current leadership transition should not be allowed to breed disunity or internal conflict.
“Political transitions often create uncertainty, but we must not allow it to divide us,” Dalori said. “We must avoid actions and words that divide us and focus on what binds us — our shared belief in the promise of Nigeria and the future of the APC.”
He emphasized the importance of party cohesion and revealed plans to unveil a practical roadmap to guide the NWC through this interim period. The roadmap, according to him, will cover essential areas such as party discipline, reconciliation, communication, member mobilisation, and broader stakeholder engagement.
Dalori also confirmed that he assumed the role of acting chairman in accordance with the APC constitution and the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He expressed gratitude to Dr. Ganduje for his service and leadership, wishing him a speedy recovery. “We remain grateful for his contributions to the upliftment of our great party,” he added.
Dalori’s message comes amid growing speculation about the future direction of the APC leadership and the potential implications of Ganduje’s exit on the party’s internal dynamics.
