The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially accepted the resignation of its former National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje. The announcement was made during the party’s 174th National Working Committee (NWC) meeting held on Monday, which was presided over by the newly appointed Acting National Chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori.
Ganduje had tendered his resignation last week, citing the need to focus on his health. In a statement issued after the meeting, the NWC acknowledged and accepted his decision, while expressing profound gratitude for the leadership and service he rendered during his tenure.
According to Hobnob News, the party extended its best wishes to Dr. Ganduje for a speedy and complete recovery, describing his tenure as one marked by commitment to party unity and national development.
Acting Chairman Dalori used the opportunity to reassure party members and the public of the APC’s continued stability and strength. “The APC remains a large and united family,” he said. “We will work together as a cohesive team to deepen internal democracy, improve transparency, and sustain the achievements already recorded under our leadership.”
Dalori also acknowledged the role of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in steering both the party and the country forward, stating: “We are grateful to Mr. President for his unwavering leadership and dedication to the ideals of our great party.”
The APC leadership transition comes at a critical moment as the party prepares for upcoming political activities and governance milestones. Party stakeholders have been urged to rally behind the new leadership to ensure continued progress and unity within the ruling party.
